There are many people writing articles, and making every available effort to distort precisely what Mormon’s actually believe. Sometimes, it is done with mockery and ridicule.
Despite this, the Latter-day Saint faith asserts itself being a Christian religion due to essential core doctrines of Biblical Christianity.
How so? Let us go ahead and take nature and person of God. A sovereign being who the Latter-day Saints accept and believe to get our Loving Heavenly Father.
The very simplistic understanding is that when we look to the jesus shirts world around us, we see the handiwork of God. And, not only do we have seen the handiwork of God, there exists a very real intimate relationship to this particular Supreme being.
According to the Gospel Principles Manual in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we read that only does God exist, but that he is our Eternal Father.
The prophet Joseph Smith taught this supreme being looks religion t shirts upon all of humanity with great fatherly care.
Jesus Christ himself taught the purpose for our lives would be to come to understand the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom God had sent into the world (See John 17:3).
The best way we can easily understand how and why we have a Father in Heaven, and never some mysterious incomprehensible being, is actually looking to our earthly fathers. Our fathers, within this mortality, are responsible for the provisions we stand it need of, counsel for the duration of our days, peace of mind in times if we need comforting, and discipline once we stand in need of discipline. The father’s role is definitely a important role. A role that even contemporary society has compartmentalized in to a myth and degredation.
Yet, when father’s fulfill their calling, and accept their responsibilities, we view the mirror image of how our Heavenly Father represents His role and responsibility. Much like our earthly fathers, our Heavenly Father counsel’s us, protects us, disciplines us, and provides us with those actions we stand it need of. He encourages us to complete our best, asks us to committ to his commandments, and blesses those that submit to his divine authority.
Scripture consistently states that once we obey our Heavenly Father, we’ll do well in our lives. It is only when we disobey our Heavenly Father that we are going to experience the consequences of our actions.
Therefore, whenever we come to understand who our Heavenly Father is, we understand him being a loving, kind, and concerned being who seeks the best of our lives.
There is a God – rather than just a god, but a divine loving Heavenly Father that calls us to change to him and observe him.
